Lac Inférieur, the Longchamp allées, and the Pré Catelan meadows — Paris opened wide.
The Bois is Paris granting itself a whole horizon. Long straight allées lined with mature limes, a lake wide enough for rowboats, and enough distance between people that the nervous system finally rests. Nothing to catch, nothing to reach — only the walk itself.
Enter at Porte Dauphine and walk south to the Lac Inférieur. Take the ferry across, walk the far bank clockwise, and continue west into the Pré Catelan meadows. The scale is different here — trust it, and give yourself the full loop before turning back.
