The Kastellet star fortress ramparts and the Langelinie promenade — a level walk around Copenhagen's most composed waterfront.
Kastellet is a working star fortress that became a garden. The Langelinie promenade beside it gives wide harbour water and the calm north end. Together they hold Copenhagen's most patient hour.
Enter Kastellet at the King's Gate, walk the outer rampart clockwise, and exit toward Langelinie. Sit at the Little Mermaid rock briefly, then continue north along the harbour to Nordre Toldbod.
