Cutty Sark to the Royal Observatory and back along the Thames Path — six centuries of maritime London in one gentle loop.
This walk holds you between two horizons — the historic river on one side, the observatory sky on the other. The climb is soft, the descent is longer, and every landmark asks you to slow rather than photograph. Time behaves differently here.
Begin at Cutty Sark, walk up through the colonnade of the Old Royal Naval College, and let the avenue of chestnuts pull you up to Wolfe's statue. Sit at the meridian view for a full breath. Descend through the park's east side and return along the Thames Path with the river on your left and Canary Wharf across the water.

Water beside you most of the way — a river, canal, lake or sea keeping company.
Old stones and long memory hold the route — architecture, gardens, sacred edges.
Deeply restorative — low effort, soft surface, safe to walk slowly.
Gentle rises with recovery in between — an opening view or two.
Let the old stones remind you nothing is urgent.

Slow down until the count softens. Sit on the next bench for a full minute. Presence is the goal — the map will wait.
