Fern Dell to the Griffith Observatory lower switchbacks — shaded creek path and mid-mountain views without the summit push.
Fern Dell is Griffith Park's quiet entry — cool, shaded, and creek-fed. The lower trails give real mid-mountain time without the full observatory grind, and the view opens gradually. It's the softest way to meet the mountain.
