Mount Royal Lower Accessible Routes

Beaver Lake to the Kondiaronk Belvedere via the Olmsted Road — Mount Royal's gentle carriage road with the classic city view.

Why this route restores

The Olmsted Road is Frederick Law Olmsted's other masterpiece: a wide, gently graded carriage road that spirals up Mount Royal without a single steep section. Full forest cover, benches at every switchback, and the Kondiaronk view at the top — Montréal's most generous walk.

Presence notes

Enter at the Beaver Lake parking area and follow the Olmsted Road anticlockwise. The road climbs gently the whole way to the Kondiaronk Belvedere for the loop's soft peak. Return via the same road with the view now behind you — the light shifts completely.
