Bonsecours Basin to the Clock Tower and back — the Old Port's step-free promenade with the river on one side and Vieux-Montréal on the other.
The Old Port promenade is one of the great level urban waterfronts. Wide, paved, and separated from traffic; the river is present the whole time and Vieux-Montréal's silver domes and cobble hold the far side. On a summer evening it becomes the city's shared living room.
