Golden Gate Park Full Soft Loop

Conservatory of Flowers to Stow Lake to the Dutch Windmill — a full crossing of the city's four-kilometre long park.

Why this route restores

Golden Gate Park is fog-fed, mature, and — since the JFK Promenade closed to cars — genuinely quiet. Eucalyptus scent, redwood groves, and Pacific mist meet you within a few hundred metres. It's the city letting itself breathe.

Presence notes

Start at the Conservatory of Flowers and follow JFK Promenade west. Circle Stow Lake, drift through the Music Concourse and Japanese Tea Garden edges, and continue to the Dutch Windmill above Ocean Beach. Return via the north Middle Drive under the eucalyptus.
