Why this route restores

Bukchon is Seoul's oldest continuously inhabited neighbourhood — narrow lanes lined with hundreds of traditional hanok houses, on a hillside between Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung palaces. Walk it before nine and it belongs to you.

Presence notes

Start at Anguk Station, walk up through the Bukchon-ro alleys, pause at the eight viewpoints marked by the village, drift east to Samcheongdong-gil, and finish at the Bukchon Cultural Center.
