Why this route restores

Huwon is the private rear garden of Changdeokgung, walked only in small guided groups. Four hundred years of imperial gardening have produced a curated forest of pines, oaks, maples, and gingkos framing four lotus ponds and four exquisite pavilions.

Presence notes

Enter Changdeokgung, join the guided Huwon tour, walk the garden's forested path to Buyongji lotus pond, drift on to Aeryeonji and Ongnyucheon, and return by the moss-lined valley.
