Why this route restores

Cheonggyecheon is Seoul's most transformative public work of the 21st century — a former elevated highway removed to reveal an 11 km stream running through the city's heart. Descending to it drops you into cool air and running water in the middle of downtown.

Presence notes

Begin at Cheonggye Plaza's fountain, descend to the stream, and follow it east under twenty-two bridges. Pause at the light tunnel, the wall-projection zone, and finish at Sinseoldong.
