Why this route restores

High Park is Toronto's real forested park: 400 acres of oak savannah, ponds, gardens, and even a small zoo. The circuit gives real solitude in stretches, and the Black Oak Savannah — one of the last in North America — is a genuine natural rest.

Presence notes

Enter at the Bloor Street gate and walk south along the Grenadier Pond path. Take the west spur through the Black Oak Savannah (a rare native ecosystem), circle back through Hillside Gardens, and finish under the cherry allée. Take it in full for a proper morning.
