Wilhelminapark & Kromme Rijn Edge

The pond and old planes of the Wilhelminapark, then out to the quiet green edge of the Kromme Rijn and back along the car-free Oosterspoorbaan.

Why this route restores

Short, flat, and green from start to finish. There is nothing to climb and nothing to decide, which is exactly what a tired nervous system needs — and the river edge gives your eyes somewhere far to rest.

Presence notes

Start at the pond and take the outer path, the one with fewer people. Leave the park at its southern corner and walk down to the Kromme Rijn, where the water is narrow and slow and the far bank is all grass. Come back on the Oosterspoorbaan — an old railway line, now a straight, quiet, traffic-free walking and cycling strip.
